SAN FRANCISCO (NOVEMBER 27, 2024) — The Dui Hua Foundation welcomes the release of US citizens by China including Mark Swidan and Kai Li.
This is a great relief for their families, members of whom have advocated forcefully on their behalf for years. It is a testimony to the efforts of American diplomats, and to sympathetic Chinese officials who have met with them.
Dui Hua has put Mark Swidan’s name on 54 lists submitted to the Chinese government and received ten written responses and has put Kai Li’s name on 45 lists and received three written responses.
Dui Hua estimates that there are more than 200 Americans under coercive measures in China.
