Shelley Eades was born in Northern California. She earned a BA in Journalism with an emphasis in photography at San Francisco State University. Freelance work for The San Francisco Chronicle led to an eclectic career in communications, operations, and marketing, during which she honed her abilities to facilitate cross-cultural understanding through storytelling. Her nonprofit experience includes leading documentary workshops for local teens in Haiti and photographing farming cooperatives. She serves on the advisory board for Give A Day Global, an organization that connects travelers with one-day volunteer opportunities with nonprofits throughout the globe. As Dui Hua’s Development & Programs Officer, she coordinates Dui Hua’s development strategy and outreach events in addition to supporting program activities.
